He started studying painting at 14 years old and moved to Florence, Italy at age 19. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Accademia di Belle Arti in 1997. While at Belle Arti, Ramiro also studied at Daniel Graves' atelier-styled Florence Academy of Art (FAA). Sanchez is now the senior painting instructor at the FAA.
